Update: Passerby Discovered Woman Who Fell from Balcony
Police are waiting on autopsy and results as they continue their investigation.
A passerby discovered a Port Chester woman who was severely wounded after falling from her fourth-floor balcony yesterday, Port Chester police said.
The man was leaving the lobby of 395 Westchester Avenue a few minutes before 2:30 p.m. when he saw 59-year-old Lorraine Italiano on the ground in front of the building, Lt. James Ladeairous said.
The passerby called police, and officers arrived with paramedics to treat Italiano. She was rushed to Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, where she was pronounced dead a short while later.

Italiano's husband was home at the time, but was sleeping, Ladeairous said. When officers arrived, they woke him up and explained what had happened to his wife.
Port Chester detectives are awaiting the results of an autopsy and toxicology from the Westchester Medical Examiner's Office. The results could take several weeks, Ladeairous said.
