US to Indict Iranian Cyber Hackers for Rye Brook Dam Security Breach

Residents in the area were not in danger at the time.

A Rye Brook dam was cyber-hacked in 2013 by Iranians.

According to lohud.com, the people behind the cyber attack on the Bowman Avenue Dam will be indicted by the Justice Department.

Iranian hackers were not able to take control of the dam, but were studying the system and its operation.

The dam, owned by the City of Rye, was not operable at the time of the hack.
