Wrestling Champion to Speak at Port Chester-Rye Brook Library
The former collegiate All-American and National Champion in college wrestling will discuss his new book.

Professional wrestling fans should head to the Port Chester-Rye Brook Public Library at 2 p.m. April 23 for a special presentation by Bob Backlund.
The former collegiate All-American and National Champion in college wrestling will be discussing his new book “Backlund: From an All-American Boy to Professional Wrestling’s World Champion.”
Backlund will talk about being the WWF (now the WWE) Heavy Weight Champion for more than four years and being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013.

He will also about about his belief in health and diet leading to improved mental and physical health.
Library officials said the event is for more than pro-wrestling fans, but also for fans of amateur wrestling and those interested in hearing about a great life story.

Copies of the book will be sold afterwards, with a portion of the proceeds being donated to the library.
The Port Chester-Rye Brook Public Library is located at 1 Haseco Ave. in Port Chester.
