Edna Louise Spear Elementary School fourth grade students in Kristen Boney’s class had a fun math lesson that took them on a school scavenger hunt. Finding “Base Ten Brainiac” task cards in the hallways, the students strengthened their math proficiencies by finding and solving the equations on their personal recording sheets.

“It was an activity to help continue develop their understanding of how much numerical value each digit has in a whole number,” student teacher Meghan O’Neill said.
