Find a Great Beach Read at the Comsewogue Public Library

Librarians can assist in finding a great book for you.  Our librarians will ask you some questions about your past reading experiences.  Who your favorite authors are, what you loved reading in the past and find out what you are now in the mood for.  We will give you great titles that will keep you coming back for more recommendations.

Sign up for our e-newsletters and get great book suggestions by email with NextReads.   We'll deliver reading lists based on topics that you choose right to your inbox.  Our most popular newsletters include Coming Attractions, New York Times Bestsellers, Historical Fiction, and Tween Reads.  There are many more newsletters available and you may also be able to read the first chapter of the suggested titles.    

Explore your literary options by using NoveList Plus.  Log in with your library barcode and password to use this database that has book suggestions for every age and is searchable by title, author, or series.   Enter a book or author that you loved, and click read-alikes to get a listing of recommendations. 

We have a great collection of downloadable audiobooks and ebooks.  Perhaps you have moved beyond the traditional print book and now your eReader or iPad goes everywhere with you!  Our free downloads service can be accessed with your library barcode.
