On The Road With Johnny B ..Why germs are good.
I grew up in the 60/70's. When you got filthy, ate dirt and had no Anti-Bacterial anything. I turned out normal.ummm I think.
Somebody needs to explain to me the reason for Anti Bacterial soap. Unless you are going into surgery or into a Biosphere I think it might be a waste of time. The thing that makes me go HUH? is you wash your hands with this Anti-Germ goop but dry them on a towel that's been hanging in the bath room for a week..hmmm germs? lets just say you use paper towels. Unless you shrink wrap them aren't they sitting in the exposed air catching bacteria and germs? Plus the water you rinse your hands with doesn't that have bacteria in it?
What people don't get is germs are good. Every time you trick your body or wash away germs or bacteria your are hurting the immune system. Not for nothing I have an immune system like a Wildebeest. During the disco days of the 1970's when I was growing up you played in the dirt, got filthy, wore t-shirts outside in the snow and we all some how survived without Anti-Germ anything. My Mom could fix a severed head with a Bandaid and Iodine.
We had the 30 second rule. If you dropped a sandwich on the ground you would as my Grandma would say "kiss it up to God" and eat the damn thing. Drop your ice cream in a pile of Dog Poop kiss it up to God, blow off the dust and chomp away.

We need to start to get away from the Anti-Germ era and embrace the good old days when kids and people would just get germy and filthy from great day of work or play. Stop the madness and ban Anti-Bacterial soaps today...
