Encouraging Young Musicians in Port Jeff

With their instruments in hand, Earl L. Vandermeulen High School band and orchestra students, as well as chorus singers, recently encouraged elementary students to participate in music during a presentation at the Port Jefferson Village Center’s Aftercare Program.

During the presentation, the Port Jefferson students played their instruments and sang for the elementary students. They also spoke candidly about their own musical experiences since elementary school.
