"Shifting Reality Across Long Island" - Location #2

The Long Island Creative Vortex in coordination with FRESH Art invites you to be a part of the second installment of "Shifting Reality Across Long Island" at Toast Coffeehouse located at 242 East Main Street, Port Jefferson, NY 1177.

This is a traveling project based on artists and musicians working collaboratively on (and around) a 2-sided piece called 'Reality'. Artists (and really anyone) can paint anything on this piece constantly keeping ‘Reality’ shifting and evolving. "Shifting Reality Across Long Island will appear in 10 - 12 different locations across Long Island between 01-13-12 and ending at the East End Arts Council on 06-01-12.

"Toast Coffeehouse is an innovative breakfast and lunch eatery with an artistic vibe".

Music will be "The Montauk Project" with Scot Gropper, Mark Rios, Craig Pagano, Noah Pagano, and Carl "Hooky Dook" Obrig.

Artists: For drying purposes we are going to be using acrylic as the medium. Please feel free to bring whatever tools and paint you are comfortable with. As mentioned before, this is a collaborative effort based on unity and flow. These sessions are amazing because they will challenge you to work with others while pushing you out of your comfort zone.

Supporters: Support from the Long Island Community is essential for this project and to artists in general. We believe Long Islanders love and respect their artists because they know the arts bring and sense of identity, interest and commerce to local communities. We believe that together we can do something amazing to make the world take notice. Thank you for your support. We look forward to seeing you at these events.
