Middle School Science Olympiad Qualifies For State Competition
Congrats to the Port Jefferson Middle School Science Olympiad team!

PORT JEFFERSON, NY - From Port Jefferson School District: Teamwork, cooperation and an engaging interest in science, technology, engineering and math helped bring the Port Jefferson Middle School Science Olympiad team to third place at the Suffolk County Regional Division B Science Olympiad competition, recently held at Candlewood Middle School in Dix Hills.
Coached by science teacher Adam Bouchard and assisted by science teacher Deborah Hagmeyer, students in grades 6-9 competed against 32 teams in events which tested their skills in earth science, biology, chemistry, physics and engineering. Team members received medals in 20 events. They will compete at the state competition at East Syracuse-Minoa High School in Syracuse, New York, on April 13-14.
