• LI Man Admits To Being High, Livestreaming Stolen Vehicle Crash That Claimed Woman's Life: DA (patch.com) — A Port Jefferson man has pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide and related charges after driving a stolen SUV while high, livestreaming his reckless driving, and causing a 2024 crash that killed a 73-year-old woman in Centereach. Prosecutors say he faces a potential six- to 18-year prison sentence when he returns to court in October, and a passenger remains seriously injured.
