Police: Man Tries to Rob Port Jeff Station Gas Station, Steals Cigarettes
Incident occurred Tuesday morning.

Police are investigating an attempted robbery at a Port Jefferson Station gas station that occurred Tuesday morning.
Police say a man entered the 76 Gas station located at 200 Route 112, at the corner of Route 25A, at about 8:17 a.m. and acted as if he wanted to purchase a pack of cigarettes.
The man then attempted to rob an employee of cash, but he did not get any, police said. The man fled the scene with the cigarettes. No injuries were reported and no arrests have been made.
