Police Seeking Men Who Broke Into Port Jeff Station Business

The men stole numerous pack of cigarettes from the Getty Gas Station Mart earlier this month, police say.

Police are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate two men pictured above who they say burglarized a Port Jefferson Station business earlier this month.

Police say the two men broke a window and entered the Getty Gas Station Mart, located at 1164 Route 112, at approximately 12:50 a.m. on Aug. 3 and stole numerous packages of cigarettes.

One man, who was described as white with an average height and build, was wearing light-colored baggy basketball shorts with a baggy t-shirt, sneakers and a knit hat with horizontal stripes. He was carrying a crowbar. The other male, also described as white, was taller with an average build. He was wearing a handkerchief over his face and a long-sleeved shirt with zippers, dark pants and a baseball hat.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
