Port Jeff Grad Dies on College Campus

Kyle Webb, 21, dies Wednesday morning.

A 21-year-old from Port Jefferson died Wednesday morning after being found unresponsive in his dorm room at the University at Albany, according to a Times Union report.

Kyle Webb, a junior at the SUNY school, was rushed to the hospital after being found around 9 a.m., but he was soon pronounced dead.

According to the report, Albany president Robert Jones alerted the campus community of Webb's death around noon.

"I regret to inform you of the loss of a member of our UAlbany family…We are deeply saddened by Kyle's untimely passing and offer our deepest condolences to his family, friends and loved ones," Jones said in an email.

Webb's cause of death has not been determined, but officials do not consider it suspicious.

Just two weeks ago, another student from Long Island–Robert Annunziata, of Franklin Square–was found dead on the Albany campus. A day after Annunziata's death, a 20-year-old from Connecticut, Conor Wynne, was found dead in his dorm room at Hofstra University. Neither death is considered suspicious.
