Port Jeff Radio Station Interviews Parents of Fallen War Hero
The parents of SSG James McNaughton talk to WMAP Radio Host KC Armstrong about how they channel their experience to help others.

SSG James McNaughton fellow Long Islander, died a National hero at age 27.
Always a patriot with a deep love for his country, Jimmy joined the Army in 1996 and served 5 years in the military before being honorably discharged. Before his discharge, however, he enlisted in the reserves and was soon activated for his first deployment for a secret mission in Maryland. But in 2004, Jimmy volunteered for deployment to Abu Graib. On August 2nd, 2005, while training Iraqi police, Jimmy was hit and killed by a sniper's bullet.
The McNaughton Family has turned their grief into benefit for others to honor the heroism of their son as well as all who serve in our military forces. On January 26, 2019, the 14th annual benefit event honoring SSG James McNaughton, will takeplace at Mulcahy’s Concert Hall in Wantagh, NY from 1-9 pm. Proceeds from the event are donated to the Wounded Warriors Project and the Northport P.T.S.D. Veterans' Association, as well as other charities.

To help get this important information to the public, Jimmy's parents turned to KC
Armstrong , the best-selling author, syndicated radio host, and owner of WMAP Radio, located in Port Jefferson, 10 minutes from where Jimmy grew up.
