Port Jeff Robotics Team Honored by School Board
The team designed and constructed a complex robot over a six-week period.

During its regular meeting on May 10, the Port Jefferson School District Board of Education recognized the Earl L. Vandermeulen Robotics Team for designing and constructing a complex robot over a six-week period.
During the recognition ceremony, team members provided a demonstration of their robot, which was engineered to scale a wall and maneuver over obstacles in a competition setting.
The team most recently participated in the 17th annual Long Island Regional FIRST Robotics Competition alongside more than 2,000 students from 50 high schools. The event was held at Hofstra University.
