Port Jeff School Budget Passes, Ramus and DeWitt Re-Elected

Port Jefferson School District residents approved the district’s $40.33 million proposed budget on Tuesday by a vote of 374-124. 

The budget includes a 2.56 percent increase in spending over the current year and carries a 1.43 percent tax levy increase, which is within the state's tax cap.

School board incumbents Adam DeWitt and Robert Ramus were unopposed and were re-elected.
