Port Jeff Station Man Critically Injured in Crash Into Tree

A 69-year-old Port Jefferson Station man is in critical condition following a single-car crash in Holtsville Tuesday morning.

Kennedy was driving a 2016 Hyundai Santa Fe northbound on Blue Point Road, east of Waverly Avenue, when his vehicle left the road and struck a tree at 11:45 a.m., police said.
Kennedy was transported by an ambulance from the Holtsville Fire Department to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue.

The investigation is continuing and anyone with information about the crash is asked to call the Fifth Squad at 631-854-8552.
