Port Jeff Students Gravitate Toward Gratefulness
Although students work to spread kindness every day, they took some extra steps to celebrate World Kindness Day.

From Port Jeff Schools: Although Port Jefferson School District students work to spread kindness every day, they took some extra steps to celebrate World Kindness Day with one another and in the community.
Working with special education teacher Monica Consalvo and librarian Mary LaSita, numerous high school and middle school students collected nonperishable food items, toiletries and cold weather clothing items for the Northport Veterans Home and local charities. Other fun activities included creating kindness hashtag sprinkles such as #begrateful, #youarespecial and #celebrateyou that were shared in their ELA classes, posting kindness messages on all lockers in both schools, making kindness announcements over the PA system during the change of classes and placing inspirational cards in student lockers.
