Port Jeff Students Share Musical Flair at Band Festival
Six students from Earl L. Vandermeulen High School participated in the 60th annual Mid-Island Band Festival.

From the Port Jefferson School District: Six students from Earl L. Vandermeulen High School in the Port Jefferson School District participated in the 60th annual Mid-Island Band Festival, which was recently held at West Islip High School.
The concert brought students Josh Ecker, Cole Fortier, Leland Held, Jillian Lawler, Cole Swensen, and Jack Worrell together on stage with student-musicians from Miller Place, Sayville, Patchogue-Medford, Hauppauge and West Islip school districts.
“Congratulations to all participating students for their exceptional efforts,” said Dr. Michael Caravello, the district director of music and fine arts. “These experiences continue to advance their creative expressions in music.”
