Many years ago I was informed when asked of the Village Administration," who pays for the down town street sweeping"? I was told that the BID paid to sweep the streets every day. As a resident I assumed that that would be equitible as the store owners get the benefit of everyday sweeping for there BID monetary stipend. I now find out that the parking fund is paying for this service. It would be wonderful if the residents got the same service in the residental areas where the shop workers now park to avoid parking fees and the residents must keep up with the refuse dumped in the streets by the staffs and day trippers parking on our residential streets. What do you think?
