The Port Jefferson Board of Education recognized the Earl L. Vandermeulen Robotics Team for their hard work during the board's regular meeting on May 12. During the recognition ceremony, team members provided a demonstration of their robot, which was constructed to maneuver garbage cans in a competition setting.
