Robotics Team Honored by BOE
The team recently competed in the 16th Annual Long Island Regional FIRST Robotics Competition.

The Port Jefferson Board of Education recognized the Earl L. Vandermeulen Robotics Team for their hard work during the board’s regular meeting on May 12.
During the recognition ceremony, team members provided a demonstration of their robot, which was constructed to maneuver garbage cans in a competition setting. The team most recently competed in the 16th Annual Long Island Regional FIRST Robotics Competition against more than 2,000 students from 50 high schools at Hofstra University.
