Woman Killed in Mt. Sinai Crash
Two others hurt in two-car crash Friday night, police say.

MOUNT SINAI, NY- A woman was killed and two other people were injured in a two-car crash in Mount Sinai Friday night, police said.
According to police, Kacy McLaughlin was driving a 2005 Hyundai Sonata east on Route 25A at Chestnut Street around 11 p.m when the driver of a 2000 Toyota Camry, Tejas Acharekar, attempted to make a left turn onto southbound Chestnut Street.
A Mounti Sinai woman, 39-year-old Ekaterina Blednykh, who was a passenger in the Camry, was transported to John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson where she was pronounced dead, police said.

McLaughlin, 23, of Mastic Beach, and Acharekar, 25, of Port Jefferson, were transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The investigation is continuing and anyone with information on the crash is asked to call Sixth Squad detectives at 631-854-8652.
