First Ever Gold Coast Arts Fair is This Weekend

The event will be held in Port Washington.

The Archangel Michael Church community is hosting an Arts & Antiques Fair—to be known as the Gold Coast Arts Fair (or GCAfair for short)—on Sunday, May 22 from 12pm-7pm, on their church campus, 100 Fairway Drive in Port Washington.

It's a perfect event for families, art aficionados, antique lovers, browsers and anyone interested in attending a unique event!

Antiques and Art Appraisals: In the style of the Antiques Roadshow! Do you have some artwork that you don't know much about? Something you inherited or have had in your home forever? Bring it in! Now's the time to see what it's worth. Click here to buy tickets and have a licensed art appraiser tell you what you have! And also browse a wide variety of antiques from vendors--near our food court!

Art Auction: They will have a wonderful selection of unique paintings and artwork on display. Viewing will be ongoing throughout the afternoon, with the items auctioned off at 4pm. This is not your average stuffy art auction – come just be entertained by our auctioneer even if you’re not looking to buy any art. Memorabilia will also be up for auction. Painting Workshops: Who says you aren't creative?? When you decide you'd like to paint, you will likely encounter the art myth that it takes talent. Don't believe it The desire to learn to paint and enthusiasm are what you need more than anything else. The GCAfair is offering 60 or 90-minute painting workshops (for adults, teens, and families) throughout the day and taught by two professional artists, Dvora Troshane and Anna Frangoulis. Vendors: an eclectic selection of products from oriental rugs, to decorative pieces for the garden to vintage and estate jewelry all at very competitive prices.

And of course ... Greek food! Come for lunch or dinner and enjoy homemade Greek pastries, famous loukoumades, and delicious Greek specialties, such as souvlaki and spanakopita, plus much more, including Greek wine tastings and craft beers.
