MANHASSET, NY — Three Queens men were arrested Tuesday after Nassau police said they broke into a jewelry store in Manhasset.

Patricio Villaseca Leiva, 23, Luciano Aguilera Navarro, 20, and Mauro Souza Montecinos, 34, who are all from Chile and members of a South American theft group, entered Manhasset Jewelers, at 446 Plandome Road, at 3:40 a.m. Sunday, police said.

Souza Montecinos and Aguilera Navarro pried open the back door of the business while Villaseca Leiva remained outside in their 2019 grey Alfa Romeo, police said. Souza Montecinos and Aguilera Navarro nabbed around $100K worth of merchandise and drove away before officers arrived, police said.
