This week Manhasset Bay Yacht Club is hosting the 30th Knickerbocker Cup – an international match racing event with skippers and crews participating from around the world. The race week begins with a Pro-Am Race Tuesday August 28 at 1:00pm in which supporters have the opportunity to go out and race with those international-ranked sailors. This year Judy Martin, Newscaster from Channel 12 News will be at the helm experiencing first hand all the excitement of this challenging sport.
The opening ceremony will take place at Manhasset Bay Yacht Club on Wednesday August 29 at 6:30pm. Racing will begin Thursday thru Sunday. The public is invited to come down to watch the races on our live video www.knickerbockercup.org or go out on spectator boats. (Reservations for the spectator boats must be made by emailing Bonnie Doran (bonniedoran@danielgale.com).

Our social events start on Wednesday evening August 29 with an Opening Ceremony at 6:30, followed by our All American Barbecue at 8:00pm. Reservations are required for the BBQ, please call MBYC at 516-767-2150. Saturday night, September 1, is our Spinnaker Splash with dinner and dancing. Tickets must be purchased in advance, $90 payable to the Knickerbocker Cup Foundation, with cash bar.
Checks may be mailed by Tuesday, August 28 or dropped off at MBYC by Thursday, August 30.
