Art Classes for Children at The Art Guild
There's still time to sign your budding artist up for classes at The Art Guild!
Do you have a budding artist in your home? The Art Guild is delighted to offer art classes for children aged 5-7 and 8-12 taught by experienced children’s art teachers. Spaces are still available in all classes - but don’t miss out!
The following classes for children will be offered:
• Art Explorations (ages 5-7), six Saturdays beginning October 3, from 12:30 - 1:45 PM.

Young artists will explore different materials including drawing, tempera paint, collage, cut shapes, constructions and more. Emphasis is on the tactile and using our imaginations. Each week we will create a special project. Students should wear a smock or old clothes. Curriculum may vary.
• Children’s Art Studio (ages 8-12), six Wednesdays beginning September 30, from 4:00 - 5:30 PM or six Saturdays beginning October 3, from 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM.

Students will draw from a still life, create self-portraits, learn perspective and work from their imaginations. Exploration of different media including pencil and charcoal, paint, printmaking and sculpture materials in a fun and supportive atmosphere. Students should wear old clothes to class. Curriculum may vary with each instructor.
Classes are held at Elderfields Historic Preserve, located at 200 Port Washington Blvd. in Manhasset (located on the right side when traveling south on Port Washington Blvd., after Stonytown Road, just before St. Francis Hospital.)
