BMW Stolen From Nassau Home; Car Abandoned, Suspects Fled: Police

Police are searching for the people responsible for stealing a BMW early Monday from a Roslyn homeowner's garage, authorities say.

ROSLYN, NY — A car was stolen from a home in Roslyn on Monday morning.

A homeowner, 60, on Pine North Drive, was awoken by the sound of his garage door opening at 1:30 a.m.

The victim discovered his black 2019 BMW 540 heading northbound behind a black Audi SUV, authorities said.

Officers observed the suspects parked on the Long Island Expressway shoulder near Exit 31S as they rummaged through items from the BMW. As police approached, the suspects fled in the Audi westbound.
