CancerCare Holiday Party Honors Dejana Foundation
This fun and lively annual membership party awarded new members and the Dejana Foundation's generosity in support of this great organization

Many parties among friends are a lot of fun, whether held during the holidays or any other time of the year. But since the majority of members of the Port Washington/Manhasset Chapter of CancerCare also perform in the annual Red Stocking Revue, the organization’s annual Holiday Membership Party held last month at The Swan Club was much more lively and hopping than most. Some members stole the mic from the DJ and sang, while others were dancing like pros to as many music genres as the DJ played.
Special membership pins were awarded to those who joined CancerCare in 2014, and Jim Avena, Grant Administrator for the Peter & Jeri Dejana Family Foundation, was given a beautiful award for his and the Foundation’s exceptional support on behalf of the Red Stocking Revue. For the second year in a row, the Dejana Foundation has underwritten this beloved annual show that is the organization’s largest annual fundraiser.
These and other donations offset most of the costs associated with producing and presenting the Red Stocking Revue, which enables CancerCare’s Port Washington/Manhasset chapter to donate more proceeds from the performances to cancer research and related support.
