Credit Card Fraud Halted At Nassau Gas Station: Cops

MANHASSET, NY — A man was placed in custody for fraudulent activity at a Manhasset gas station.

Nassau police said Kyle Jackson, 27 of Queens, entered the Mobil gas station on Northern Boulevard at 7 p.m. on Tuesday.

Jackson said credit cards that were left at the gas station belonged to him and he attempted to take them. However, the name Jackson gave did not match the credit cards, causing an employee to get suspicious and call police.

Following an investigation, Jackson was placed under arrest without incident.

Jackson had multiple pictures on his phone of fraudulent identity and social security cards, authorities said.

Charges against Jackson include nine counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument, second-degree forgery and fourth-degree grand larceny.

He was arraigned in Hempstead on Wednesday.
