Discover Salt Water Critters at Sands Point Preserve

Find plants and animals on a guided walk Sunday at the former Guggenheim Estate, where membership helps support the buildings and grounds.

Enjoy a guided walk on the mile-long beach at Sands Point Preserve on Sunday, June 12.

Besides the views across Long Island Sound and the Preserve’s tall bluffs, children and their caregivers will take a close look at the plants and animals that live in salt water, and observe the features that allow them to tolerate the movement of the incoming and outgoing tides several times a day.

Pre-register for one of two sessions, 11 a.m., or 12 p.m. Admission is $5 per car for members; $15 for non-members.
