Enhancing the Heart of Main Street

With over 40 years of history, Finn MacCool's is more than just a restaurant; it's a community cornerstone known for its warm, inviting atmosphere and authentic Irish cuisine. The recent facade enhancements have added to its charm, making it an even more inviting spot for locals and visitors alike, further beautifying Main Street.

Celebrating Community Commitment

Connie O'Reilly, the proud owner of Finn MacCool's, expressed his gratitude: “We are honored to receive this award from the Greater Port Washington BID. Our goal has always been to create a welcoming environment for our patrons, and these improvements are a testament to our commitment to the community we cherish.”

Supporting Local Growth and Vitality

Bonnie Doran, a BID board member, emphasized the importance of these grants: “Facade improvement grants from the BID play a crucial role in revitalizing our business district. They not only enhance the curb appeal of individual businesses like Finn MacCool's but also contribute to the overall economic vitality of Port Washington. We are proud to support local establishments in their efforts to beautify and enrich our community.”

Investing in a Thriving Business District

The Greater Port Washington BID actively supports local businesses by offering grants that improve their aesthetic and functional appeal. These initiatives are designed to foster a thriving commercial environment, attract more visitors, and boost the local economy. In 2026, the BID will expand the Sign Grant program by offering reimbursement for awning cleaning in addition to purchase of new signage based on eligibility and available funds. Through such efforts, the BID continues to empower business owners to make meaningful enhancements that benefit the entire district.
