Former PW Resident releases new Cozy Mystery series

Former Port Washington resident, Author MJ Miller, announces the release of her newest series, Luckland Mysteries, from Scarsdale Publishing. In this cozy mystery series Miller offers humorous and often tongue-in-cheek tales surrounding a mysterious independently wealthy group of women who rule their town, and their lives, with an eclectic sense of adventure.

“The idea was to move away from formulaic or trope-driven tales and give readers something different.” According to Miller, “The characters in this series are some of my favorites, which is why I couldn’t stop with just one book. Each of these Ladies of Luckland deserves to have their story told, as do all of us, really.”

The series begins with Grand Dames and a Vegas Heist. Other titles include: Aliens and the Dearly Departed; Mislaid Love and Found Bodies; Stolen Recipes and a Dead Chef, and Vengeful Spirits and a Lost Gold Mine.

A lifelong teller of tales, MJ Miller grew up inspired and mentored by an entertaining collection of master storytelling matriarchs. Women who could spin a yarn better than anyone. Born and raised in Port Washington (as Mary Schiller), Miller’s brother, the late Eric Schiller, was a prolific chess author, and Miller’s goal is to take up the challenge and continue publishing her own work as long as she can. MJ and her husband have made Tucson their home since 1999 and currently share their home with their resident feline geniuses, Darwin, and Miss Chloe.

Miller, author of several previous novels, including the award-winning Phantom of Execution Rocks, is back at it again, recently signing a second 5-book deal with Scarsdale Publishing, based in New York.
