Free Memory Screening Program in Port Washington

Residents can get their memory checked by professionals next month.

Residents can get their memory checked by professionals during a free memory screening program at the Port Washington Library in June.

The screening will consist of a series of questions to gauge memory, language and thinking skills.

The program, organized by Senator Jack M. Martins and the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, will take place on Tuesday, June 14 from 12-3 p.m.

The memory screening will take approximately 10 minutes and is confidential. All participants will be provided with the results on-site.

Please note the results are not a diagnosis, but they can suggest if someone should see a physician for a full evaluation.

The program is open to all residents. Appointments will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis.
