HEARTS Master Class with Jeff Franzel: Songwriter's Bootcamp

December 3 at Jeanne Rimsky Theater at Landmark on Main Street

HEARTS PW and Landmark on Main Street continue the Master Class series with guest Jeff Franzel and his Songwriter's Bootcamp, December 3, 2018 at Landmark in Port Washington. This FREE event is part of a series of experiential workshops for high school students through adults, provides up-close interactions with experienced professionals for aspiring artists in singing, songwriting, acting, and dance.

JEFF FRANZEL: SONGWRITER'S BOOTCAMP
Multi-talented, New York City-based songwriter and composer Jeff Franzel will provide Master Class insight into the songwriting process, including the craft of songwriting, presenting different techniques in writing melodies, chord progressions, and the art of a great lyric. The class will explore different styles analyzing great hit songs from yesterday to today, and discuss the business of music and how to pitch songs to TV, film and record companies. Franzel has over 250 recorded songs that have collectively sold over 30 million records. He has written songs for artists such as Josh Groban, 'NYSNC, Shawn Colvin, Clay Aiken, The Temptations and Dianne Reeves, and his music has appeared in films and TV shows from Runaway Bride to Barbershop 2. Participants may bring their own guitar.

The Master Class series will take place in the 425-seat Jeanne Rimsky Theater at Landmark on Main Street, Port Washington.

Availability is on a first-come, first-served basis, with different numbers of participants for each session. All others are welcome to observe.
