Landmark Radio Theater Presents Stagecoach on September 24th at 3:00!

Stagecoach, with live sound effects, will be presented at Landmark on Main Street / All seats only $10

With the exuberance of the Mickey Rooney and Judy Garland’s “Let’s put on a show!”, Landmark Radio Theater presents its inaugural radio play, “Stagecoach,” on Sunday, Sept. 24, at 3 p.m. at Landmark on Main Street in Port Washington.

The cast brings together professional and community actors and singers for a one-hour performance before a live audience, which will be recorded for radio release. Local actors Stephanie Hall, Pat Lyons, Elise May, Joel Ronis and Margaret Werner will be joined by Tom Backer, Connor Brannigan, Jim Brannigan, Spencer Cohen, Bob Domingo, Heléna Eilenberg, Lauren Moschetta and Brian Sternemann.

The challenge of expressing all aspects of a character vocally is one that many of the performers have tackled through radio and voice-overs. Working with live sound effects while having an audience adds to the fun!

“It’s like a play within a play,” said cast member Stephanie Hall. “To the audience in the theater, we are radio actors in 1949, but the show we are recording takes place in the Wild West in 1875”.

The show is being co-produced by the Landmark on Main Street, whose mission is to enhance the spirit and enrich the lives of the communities of Port Washington and surrounding regions, and by Expressive Elocution, which offers arts education programming using theater arts for vocal empowerment. Both love supporting the arts and the community with this production.
