Man Dies After Being Pulled From Pool at Syosset-Woodbury Community Park

Police are investigating the death of a 44-year-old man at Syosset-Woodbury Community Park Sunday afternoon, police said.

The man, whose identity is being withheld pending family notification, had been swimming in the main pool at the park, located at 7800 Jericho Turnpike, when he was found floating face down at 1:25 p.m., police said.

Lifeguards on duty pulled the man from the pool and performed CPR, police said. The man was transported to North Shore Syosset Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

This investigation is ongoing, police said.
