MomTime Events Kicks Off Mother's Day Weekend with a Film Fiesta

MomTime Events, a community-based organization that regularly produces and promotes arts, entertainment and specialty experiences for women and families in and around Port Washington, is celebrating Cinco De Mayo with a special Mother’s Day event, Cinco De Mama Film Fiesta, on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 7:30PM ET at Soundview Cinemas.

The Cinco De Mama ladies night out will help ring in Mother’s Day weekend with a private screening of the highly-anticipated new movie “Mother’s Day” starring Julia Roberts, Jennifer Anniston, Kate Hudson and Jason Sudeikis.

Cynthia Litman, founder of MomTime Events, and a well-known Port Washington Mompreneur says, “When you think of Mother’s Day you think of flowers, jewelry, pampering and home.” “Luckily, Port Washington is filled with wonderful women to be celebrated for all they do, as well as companies geared towards this valued upscale demographic which have eagerly signed-on as event sponsors.”

A portion of the proceeds will be donated to two non-profit organizations. They include the Parent Resource Center, an integral part of the Port Washington community, bringing together families with young children to play, learn, grow, and make life-long friendships, as well as Mom-mentum, a Long Island based nonprofit organization dedicated to providing resources, research and lobbying for mothers of all ages and life stages.

The first 75 pre-paid ticket holders will receive a special gift from one of the event sponsors, which include Fortunoff Fine Jewelry, Amaranthus on Main, Beauty Fluff, Dr. Robyn Croutch’s Young Living Essential Oils and Spacious Living.

MomTime Events always have a community component and spotlights local businesses.

Rising Tide Natural Market is providing lite organic fare for the fiesta. Liz Weiss of Rising Tide says “Rising Tide is excited to be part of the Cinco de Mama night out in partnership with MomTime Events. Like MomTime it’s important to us that the moms in our community – along with their families – live their healthiest, happiest and most vibrant lives. With fresh green drinks, organic produce and groceries and an amazing selection of organic prepared foods we make it easy for moms to live well, each and every day.”

Esther Fortunoff re-launched Fortunoff Fine Jewelry and recognizes the milestone moments of becoming a mother. Fortunoffs is commemorating the MomTime Movie Event with a special Mother’s Day gift from their collection to the first Fortunate Forty ticket buyers.

Port Momtreprenuer Amy Ventura of Amaranthus on Main segwayed from a career in marketing to follow her passion with flowers. Offering more than just flowers for all occasions, Amaranthus on Main has gift baskets, candles, lotions and many other gifts.

Moms will be able to create and take home sample lotions infused by Dr. Robyn Croutch’s Young Living Essential Oils.

Yennie Chou of Beauty Fluff will treat moms to a mini massage at the Event and will also provide product samples to the guests.

Bringing it home for women planning their summer home projects, Henry Gimenez of Spacious Living will be on hand to share information about utilizing green building techniques and repurposing reclaimed wood for home design.

Event is open to all women. Advance Ticket Sales end 5pm on May 5th.
