The 2nd Annual Momtrepreneur Fair took place at Blumenfeld Park on Main Street in Port Washington on Sunday.
That's when dozens of “mom-owned businesses” took the opportunity to sell their wares – running the gamut from baked goods to fashion accessories to hula hula hoops.
The event enabled local entrepreneurs to promote visibility for their businesses, and network with other business owners who are also full-time mothers.

Amanda Khalil and Cynthia Litman of Port Washington organized the event and have created a marketing firm called “Mom Time Events,” with the goal of motivating women to continue their careers during motherhood.
In additional, local organizations took part in the event, including Port Washington Education Foundation, which funded 26 educational grants to 7,000 Port students this year, as well as Friends of Sands Point Preserve, which offers a range of educational, fitness and cultural arts programs, and will be launching Camp CREATE, a summer program for middle schoolers combining the arts and nature.

Port Washington Girl Scout Troop 410 displayed their flyer for their campaign against texting and talking on the phone while driving.
Entertainment included presentations by nearby martial arts and dance studios.
