North Hempstead Arts Matter! Juried Art Contest And Exhibit
The contest will feature photographs showcasing the environmental aspects of the Town of North Hempstead. Entry deadline is in June.
The Town of North Hempstead will be holding its third Arts Matter! Juried Art Contest and Exhibit which will feature photographs showcasing the environmental aspects of the Town of North Hempstead.
Acceptable mediums include color, black & white, sepia photographs as well as Polaroid prints, reproductions and digital format.
Any photographs submitted must be available from July 5 to September 1 and must have been taken in the past three years. Each photographer may submit up to three photographs.

Entries will be accepted until June 20 and the exhibit will be on display at Town Hall in Manhasset from July 10 through August 31.
Those who wish to enter must be a resident of the Town, an employee of a business located in the Town or a member of an arts organization within the Town. All artists must be 18 years or older.

The entry fee should be made payable to BTDC. Entry form and check should be sent to: BTDC, 220 Plandome Road, Manhasset, NY 11030. The cost per entry is $25. The winning photographs will be on display on the 1st floor at Town Hall in Manhasset. The exhibit will be open to the public. The Arts Matter! Artist’s Reception will take place on Tuesday, July 18 from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Town Hall.

The contest is being hosted by North Hempstead Town Supervisor Judi Bosworth, the Town Board and the Town’s Business & Tourism Development Corporation (“BTDC”) along with the North Hempstead Arts Advisory Council.
