OPINION: Livvy's Angels on Relay for Life
The team is partnering with a local business in fighting to find a cure for cancer.

The team Livvy's Angels was created three years ago by eight middle schoolers who wanted to join in the fight of finding a cure for cancer.
They were inspired to join the fight after one of their own team members came face to face with the horrible disease as an elementary school student. Olivia Cisneros was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) when all the girls were in fourth grade. She had to undergo two years of treatment before entering the remission phase.
Inspired by her friends and family, Olivia maintained a positive attitude during her struggle. Olivia has been "cancer free" for almost four years now and is currently a healthy 16 year old. Olivia is dedicated to helping others who are going through similar situations that she went through.

Relay for Life, run by the American Cancer Society, is an opportunity for the whole community to become involved in the search for a cure, bonding through shared stories and hope. The event this year takes place at on June 16 at 7 p.m.
As a part of their fundraising, Livvy’s Angels will be joining with , a new training studio on Manorhaven Boulevard. There will be a yoga flow class from 7-8 p.m. on Monday, June 11, at the studio. All proceeds made from new students at that class will go towards Livvy’s Angels. The class is a combination of hatha and vinyasa flow in a room heated to 85 degrees, and is open to participants of all levels, from beginner to advanced. The elevated temperature allows muscles to relax, making each pose easier to reach.
