Parent Resource Center's Full Fall, Holiday Event Schedule

The Parent Resource Center in Port Washington has released its fall and holiday calendar. Events include Trivia Night, Book Club, a holiday movie night, a Halloween bash and more. Check out the full schedule here:

Trivia Night at O’Haras

• Thursday, Oct. 20 from 8-10 p.m.
• O’Hara’s Ale House and Grill, 611 Port Washington Boulevard
• Drinks, football, food, raffles and trivia. Tickets at the door are $5 (proceeds go to new gym equipment). There will be a cash bar or a drink special ($20 for 2 hour beer and wine). Food can be ordered off the menu

PRC’s Not-So-Scary Monster Bash

• Saturday, Oct. 29 from 11am-1 p.m.
• PRC, 232 Main St. Port Washington (Landmark Gym)
• Join your friendly neighborhood monsters for this annual Halloween bash. This year features a DJ Dance Party, photo booth, coloring wall, a prize for best costume and more. Frank’s pizza and sweet treats are available for purchase. The fee is $7 for members and $10 for non-members. There is a family cap of $30 dollars for members and $40 for non-members. Children under 12 months old are free.

Preschool Fair

• Wednesday, Nov. 9 from 7-9 p.m.
• PRC, 232 Main St. (Lower Level)
• Are you feeling nervous, excited, or confused about Pre School? Come meet the Directors of numerous area preschools, learn about the different 2's, 3's and pre-k programs and get all of your questions answered in one place.

• Fees are $12 members / $15 non-members per family. You will receive a free Preschool Guide with admission. If you can’t make it to the event, you can purchase the preschool guide during normal business hours at the PRC for $15. Call 516-767-3808 for more information.

Veteran’s Day Drop Off

• Friday, Nov, 11 from 10 a.m. to noon
• PRC, 232 Main St.
• Stop by for some indoor fun with imaginative play, toys, an indoor slide and more! Enjoy your day off and meet some new friends and catch up with old friends at the PRC. Price of $5 includes open play and a craft.

Muddworks Fundraiser

• Saturday, Nov, 19 (All day)
• 6 C Bond St. in Great Neck
• Stop by to paint, play and pottery. Get a head start on holiday gifting and have your little ones paint ornaments, mugs, handprint tiles, and other keepsakes.
• Sitting fee is $8 plus the cost of pottery. If you attend the event, you can purchase a gift card over the phone and leave it under your name or gift it. The percentage of the gift card will go to the PRC. Muddworks will donate 10-15 percent of all proceeds to the PRC for their gym equipment fund.

Mom’s Night Out

• Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 8 p.m.
• I Love Kickboxing, 61 Shore Road
• Moms can socialize, exercise or even listen to your own music all in one place. Join the ladies and break a sweat during a kickboxing workout with loud music, an instructor and a community of support. The fee is $20 per person. Workout includes warm up, stretching and bag work.

Parent’s Night Out

• Saturday, Dec. 3 from 8-9 p.m.
• Burberry, on Northern Boulevard in Manhasset
• Stop by for an evening of cocktails and shopping, just in time for the holidays. Ten percent of all proceeds go to the PRC.

Rudolph Holiday Event

• Sunday, Dec. 4 at 10 a.m.
• Soundview Cinemas, 7 Soundview Market Place
• Kick off the holiday season with A PRC pajama party at the movies to watch “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer.” Pre-show reception includes a craft, photobooth, Bach2Rock's Glee Club singing holiday tunes and a meet and greet with Santa. Guests will receive a special keepsake. Concessions are also available for purchase. The fee is $5 per person advance purchase or $7 per person at the door.

PRC Book Club

• Thursday, Dec. 8 from 7:30-9 p.m.
• Dolphin Bookshop, 299 Main St.
• Whether you are a bookworm or a mom looking for some good conversation, this is a night for you. The next book will be “A Man Called Love” by Fredrik Backman. This book can be purchased at Dolphin for 10 percent off. Meetings will be held bi-monthly. Food and snacks are available for purchase.
