If you were asked for directions to Neverland, you'd promptly answer "second star to the right and straight on till morning". "Peter and the Starcatcher" is a musical about "Peter Pan" and is so familiar that knowing the way to the island where children never grow up is as simple as knowing the way home. "Peter and the Starcatcher" will play at Weber Middle School on Campus Drive in Port Washington on May 20th at 7:00pm and May 21st at 2:00pm. Tickets can be purchased at the door. Adult tickets are available for $15. Tickets for children under 12 and senior citizens are available for $12.
So how did a group of young boys with nowhere to call home become the iconic Lost Boys? What exactly is pixie dust?
"Peter and the Starcatcher" seeks to answer these questions. The enthralling prequel, directed by Schreiber High School senior Sarah DeMarino, explores the treasured story of Peter Pan from an entirely different perspective.

DeMarino, who will be attending NYU Tisch for musical theatre in the fall, breathes new life into beloved characters with her creative vision. Her production of Peter and the Starcatcher, sponsored by the Port Play Troupe, is simultaneously imaginative, playful, and thoughtful. These qualities evoke both nostalgia and discovery in the minds of any who take the journey.
The production team of "Peter and the Starcatcher" consists entirely of Schreiber students. Producer and Props/Set Designer Anna Cohen, Technical Director David Ferguson, and Stage Manager Chris Pietrantonio are all graduating along with DeMarino in June.
