Photo Gallery: PRC Returns to the Roaring '20s With Gatsby-Inspired Gala

Guests sipped on "giggle water" while dressed in their best 1920s attire.

Guests were dressed in their best 1920s attire to attend the Parent Resource Center’s Gatsby-Inspired Gala at the Village Club of Sands Point, a former Guggenheim Estate, last month.

Guests sipped “giggle water” and enjoyed food created by the venue’s executive chef. Entertainment included a fortune teller predicting the future and a strolling magician “wowing” guests. Guests were also able to take pictures in the vintage-style photo booth and dance to popular hit songs performed by a live jazz band.

Three Port Washington residents, who formerly held important roles in the PRC, were honored at the gala:

  • Former president Daniele Goodsell
  • Former operations director Shelley Arjune-Persaud
  • Former head bookkeeper Fran Lubrano D’Alessandro

Several items were auctioned off, including: Fall fashion week tickets, VIP tickets to Good Morning America’s Summer Concert Series, and a coke bottle signed by women’s soccer super star, Alex Morgan.
