Pianist Julian Gargiulo Debuts at Hempstead House
"Expect to revise any preconceived notions you have about classical music concerts." (Huffington Post)

The Sands Point Preserve Conservancy welcomes Steinway artist Julian Gargiulo in an interactive piano concert on Saturday, April 7 at 8 pm. Julian's career spans prestigious performance venues around the world, from Carnegie Hall to Singapore’s Symphony Stage, and he now brings his original approach to the concert format to the elegant Winter Living Room in historic Hempstead House. A classically trained pianist, Julian captivates his audiences with his extraordinary technical precision - and comic wit. The program encompasses centuries of music, featuring classical standards, Tango transcriptions, as well as his own jazz-influenced compositions. Between pieces, he engages the audience with personal stories and anecdotes from the lives of well-known composers. Children age 10 - 18 are free with paying adults. Dessert follows the concert.
“He’s the only classical musician I know who could truly be regarded as a rock star as well.” (The Courier Mail)
