Police ID Woman Killed In Mack Truck Collision
Police identified the woman who was killed after a man driving a Mack truck collided with her car.
EAST HILLS, NY — A woman died after she was involved in a collision with a truck on Friday in East Hills, Nassau police said.
Carol Samide, 77, of East Hills, was driving a 2017 Audi Q7 northbound on Rosyln Road when a 36-year-old man driving a 2005 Mack truck pulling a 2004 Spectra Marine semi-trailer eastbound on the south Service Road of Rt. 495 collided with her at 2:29 p.m., detectives said.
Samide suffered multiple trauma injuries and was brought to a local hospital. She was pronounced deceased by a staff physician at 3:52 p.m.

The man driving the Mack truck suffered a cut to his head and was transported to nearby hospital for treatment.
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks, and police are still investigating.
