Port Rowing's Lindsey Rust Takes 3rd in World Rowing Championships
Roslyn High School student one of the fasted rowers in the world.

Lindsey Rust from Roslyn, NY won a bronze medal in the Lightweight Junior HS event at the World Indoor Rowing Championships last Sunday, February 12. In a field of over 100 junior rowers, Lindsey had a great race and was able to row a personal best of 7:25.3 over the distance of 2000 meters. Lindsey attends Roslyn HS and rows for Port Rowing in Port Washington, a not-for-profit community rowing club.
Port Rowing coach, Isa Rahman, described the exciting finish of the race, saying “Lindsey was in 7th place with only 500 meters left. She went into overdrive, overtaking her competitors to finish in 3rd place.”
The CRASH B Sprints are the annual, indoor regatta held in Boston and attract all the best indoor rowers from the US and other countries. The rowers from compete individually on indoor rowing machines also known as ergometers.

Registration is open for spring. Programs are available for teens in high school and middle school both with experience and those new to rowing. Programs are also available for adults to train or compete. Unique to Port Rowing is the adaptive rowing program which partners teens on the autism spectrum with peer mentors.
