Since 1972, The Port Summer Show has been producing top-quality Broadway musicals for the Port Washington community. Teenagers in grades 7-12 spend 5 ½ weeks working with a professional director and choreographer singing, dancing and rehearsing for the annual August production.

The Port Summer Show is a non-profit teen theater program that has been producing Broadway musicals since its early years performing at Port Washington’s John Phillip Sousa Bandshell. These productions give our town’s teenagers a unique opportunity to be involved in all aspects of a production, both on and off the stage. Parent volunteers are integral in creating and producing the shows each year. Over the years entire families have worked together on The Port Summer Show. The Port Summer Show Board of Directors is composed of parents from the cast, pit and crew. Sets are built and painted not only by students, but by parents who work side-by-side with them, often teaching and guiding them (along with a professional Technical Director and Set Designer.) Parents sell ads for the Playbill that helps support the show, work the concession table in the lobby, and sell tickets.

All Shook Up is a jukebox musical with the songs of Elvis Presley and a story based on Shakespeare's Twelfth Night. Taking place in 1955, the story combines one girl's dream with a surprise visit from a mysterious leather-jacketed, guitar-playing stranger to help a small town discover the magic of romance and the power of rock & roll. Among the 24 songs featured in the score are classics like "Heartbreak Hotel," "Love Me Tender," "Don't Be Cruel," "Can't Help Falling in Love," and “All Shook Up”. This highly energetic rock and roll musical will be fun for the whole family.
