Port Washington Gets New Head Lacrosse Coach
The new coach, Tom Rooney, was previously the defense coordinator for Syosset.
The have a new head lacrosse coach. Tom Rooney, previously the defensive coordinator for Syosset Braves varsity lacrosse team, Tom Rooney has accepted the Port Washington position. He spent the past 11 seasons in the Syosset program.
In a statement on the Braves lacrosse website, Rooney, a teacher at , said that as a coach, he felt it was the “right time to move on.”
The former Vikings coach, Joe Mascaretti, resigned in the spring.
