Port Washington Organization to Hold 'Walk for Victory' to Fight Marfan Syndrome
The second annual Walk for Victory will be held at Syosset-Woodbury Community Park next month.

A local organization is hosting a mile-long walk to help raise awareness and funds to support those suffering from Marfan syndrome and related disorders.
Marfan syndrome is a life-threatening genetic disorder of the body’s connective tissue that affects the heart and blood vessels, the bones and the eyes.

The Marfan Foundation of Port Washington will hold its second annual Walk for Victory next month at Syosset-Woodbury Community Park, 7800 Jericho Turnpike in Woodbury.
The walk kicks off at noon on Saturday, May 2.

All funds raised will go to The Marfan Foundation’s patient support services and educational initiatives.
Registration is $10 per person until Friday, May 1. Day-of registration is $20 per person.
Registration covers the entry fee, snacks, games and activities. Every walker who raises at least $100 will receive a Walk for Victory t-shirt and the top fundraisers will be awarded prizes.
