Port Washington School Board Trustee to Resign
The trustee was elected to a new role in the Nov. 3 election and cannot fill both duties.

A trustee on Port Washington School District’s Board of Education will be resigning from his position on Jan. 1, 2016.
William A. Hohauser was elected to serve as a court judge for District 3 in the Nov. 3 election and cannot continue to fill both duties.
“On behalf of the entire Board of Education, we wish Mr. Hohauser well in his new role,” Board of Education President Karen Sloan said. “We thank him for his six years of service to the Board of Education and for his dedication to the students of Port Washington.”

Between now and Jan. 1, the Board of Education will be discussing options for the seat vacated by Mr. Hohauser and will continue to keep the community informed.
